The Greater Kyalami ConservancyBeaulieu is a member of the Greater Kyalami Conservancy (GEKCO). This association bring together many of the neighbouring Residents Associations with the intent of retaining the equine rural residential character of the area. Residents are encouraged to become members of GEKCO. (www.gekco.co.za) . The Greater Kyalami Residents Council (GKRC), which is tightly interwoven with GEKCO, is an alliance of all the ratepayers associations within the Greater Kyalami suburbs and its main aim is to provide cohesive communication amongst role-players and to deal with the bigger issues (new commercial and residential developments and roads) that affect all of us. GEKCO, the Greater Kyalami Conservancy, has been in existence since late 2006. It is a formally registered convervancy with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. It has already received widespread recognition for its environmental, conservation and educational initiatives Real Africa and Kyalami Ridge development
