BCE’s 2012 levies and budget were presented to the Special General Meeting of residents on Thursday, 10 November 2011 at the Kyalami Country Club. In summary, the main features are: 1. The monthly levy will increase by 7.5% to: o Standard plots: R2,150 o Sectional titles: R1,450 o Perimeter properties: R1,075 The monthly admin discount will remain at R100 for residents: o who have signed BCE’s debit order authorisation form, or o who pay for the whole year in advance for by 31 January 2012. Of course, we would all prefer not to have any levy increase next year, but that will not be possible if we want to maintain our current security level and other services, especially after levies were not increased from last year. 2. We trust that the large majority (at least 85%) of residents will continue to pay the monthly levy each month. We will also look for new ways to encourage the remaining 15% of residents to pay their levies and so to share the costs of maintaining our peaceful and secure country lifestyle. 3. Peaceforce’s monthly fee will increase by 7.5% next year in terms of their contract. This is BCE’s biggest monthly expense by far. 4. Other expenses are expected to increase in line with inflation. As we have done this year, we will continue to control BCE’s spending tightly and look for savings wherever possible. Why do we pay levies?
How much must I pay?
SSG’s full armed response service is available at no further charge to residents whose monthly levy accounts are fully paid up and who pay by debit order or in advance for the whole year. This is worth at least R600 per month. To get connected, please contact our security manager, Johan Engelbrecht, on 079 527 8274 or security@beaulieu-estate.co.za. |
